Magnus Development has begun construction on Midway Logistics II, a 200,000-square-foot speculative industrial facility located in West Columbia. Midway Logistics II is the first speculative Class A, tilt up, multi-tenant building built by a private developer in the Midlands since 2009.
The 200,000 SF multi-tenant building is designed to meet the needs of today’s Class “A” distribution tenants. The tilt-up, hard wall facility will provide a clear height of 30’, energy efficient LED lighting, an ESFR sprinkler system, and immediate access to I-77 and I-26. The property will be situated within Lexington County Industrial Park, a 350-acre master-planned industrial development located at the intersection of Interstates 77 and 26. Companies with facilities in the park include Home Depot, Husqvarna, JanPak and Republic National Distributing Co.
“Midway Logistics II will be the most modern industrial building developed in the Midlands Region to date,” said Kevin Werner of Magnus Development Partners. “In addition to the buildings class A features, multi-tenant flexibility, and energy efficient design, it is also located in the Midlands premier industrial park with immediate access to multiple interstates and pulls from a tremendous labor force.”
